Nigeria, Jan. 16 -- The impeachment crisis rocking Rivers State took a dramatic twist on Friday as four lawmakers who had earlier withdrawn their support for the removal of Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu, reversed course and rejoined the impeachment move.

The lawmakers - Minority Leader Sylvanus Nwankwo (Omuma), Peter Abbey (Degema), Deputy Minority Leader Barile Nwakoh (Khana I), and Emilia Amadi (Obio/Akpor II) - had previously urged the House to halt the impeachment process, citing the need for caution.
