Nigeria, March 1 -- The House of Representatives on Thursday asked the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to extend the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 2024 registration by two weeks to enable potential candidates to register, while also mandating the relevant Committee on Education and Legislative compliance to enforce strict compliance

The Informant247 reports that the JAMB had announced the closure of UTME registration for 2024 with effect from February 26, 2024.

The resolution of the House followed the adoption of a motion of urgent national importance by Rep Bello Hassan Shinkafi.
