Nigeria, June 21 -- The Kwara State Fire Service successfully thwarted a potential disaster on Saturday, saving nine units of two-bedroom flats and ten shops during a fire outbreak in Ganmo, a district within the Ifelodun Local Government Area.
The fire erupted early in the morning at God First Plaza, situated opposite the Transmission Company of Nigeria along Ogbondoroko Road.
According to officials, the blaze was sparked by a power surge from one of the flats, which was further fueled by combustible materials, including mattresses and wooden planks stored inside.
