Nigeria, May 21 -- No fewer than 12 market women, including a two-year-old child, were rescued by a combined team of security outfits in Kwara State on Monday from their kidnappers.

The Informant247 reports that victims were said to have been waylaid and abducted around Oyi bridge in Yaaru/Olayinka village by some Kidnappers along Ajase-ipo/Oke-Ode road between 6 and 7 pm while they were returning from the market.

Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, the state police command Police Public Relations Officer, while confirming the rescue operation to newsmen on Tuesday, said the victims, including a two-year-old child, were rescued from their abductors by the security team.
