Nigeria, April 19 -- The Kwara State Police Command has refuted claims regarding the existence of a new terror group named 'Mahmuda' operating in the state, while describing the reports as unfounded and inciting.
In a statement released on Saturday by the command's, spokesperson Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, clarified that recent publications alleging the group's presence in the Kaiama and Baruten local government areas are misleading.
She said, "The Kwara State Police Command categorically refutes the recent publication alleging the emergence of a terror group named Mahmuda within Kaiama and Baruten local government areas of Kwara State."
