Nigeria, Feb. 10 -- The Kwara State Police Command has cleared the air on a purported armed robbery incident at the Oke-Onigbin area of Isin Local Government Area of the state.
According to a statement by the spokesperson of the command, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, the police operatives attached to Acpol Omu-Aran and Oke-Onigbin division who were deployed to the scene of the incident, upon receiving a distress call from one Ibrahim Sai of Eleyin village, reporting an alleged armed robbery on February 09, 2025, discovered that an incident stemmed from a misunderstanding between a vehicle owner and some youths demanding for "owo ile" (land money) after the vehicle broke down by the roadside.
