Nigeria, Jan. 19 -- The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the death of popular singer Adesina Afeez, widely known as Destiny Boy, and has launched a homicide investigation into the incident.

The command confirmed that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Homicide Section, for a detailed and thorough probe. One suspect is currently in custody.

In a statement released on Monday, the Police Public Relations Officer, Babaseyi Oluseyi, said investigations had commenced into the death of the 22-year-old artiste.
