Nigeria, June 29 -- There was palpable tension in the early hours of Sunday when bandits invaded Lafiagi in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, kidnapping a prominent agro-chemical dealer popularly known as Alhaji Chemical
During the incident, which occurred around 1 a.m., there was an exchange of gunfire between the bandits and local hunters who tried to repel the attack.
Local, who spoke to The Informant247 under anonymity, revealed that the bandits invaded the community, after which they stormed the victim's residence around Taiwo Road in Lafiagi, shooting to create panic before taking him away.
