Nigeria, Feb. 27 -- The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) Katsina State state chapter on Thursday sealed five petroleum stations in the North-West state for safety violations and under-dispensing fuel.

The routine operation led by the State Controller, Umar Muhammad, was aimed at ensuring compliance with industry standards and protecting consumers' rights.

According to Channels TV, the routine enforcement exercise focused on petrol stations whose operational licenses are expired and failed to renew the licenses as mandated by regulatory authorities.
