Nigeria, April 24 -- Workers of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) have called off their strike following intervention from the Federal Government. The strike, which began on Thursday, caused significant delays and disruptions to flight operations across the country, as employees voiced their concerns over poor working conditions.
Following a meeting with Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, in Abuja, the workers decided to resume their duties. Key issues at the center of the strike included the non-implementation of the new national minimum wage, neglect of certain staff regarding past allowances, and a lack of essential training programs.
