Nigeria, April 19 -- A new terror group identified as Mahmuda has reportedly surfaced in Kaiama and Baruten local government areas of Kwara State.

The group, believed to be terrorising residents, according to locals, has been attacking communities around the Kainji Lake National Park (KLNP).

According to reports, some of the affected communities, include some villages in Yashikira district of Baruten and Kemaanji, Wajibe and Nuku, among others in Kaiama.

Their activities also extend to Babana and Wawa district in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, it was further learnt.
