Nigeria, April 21 -- The National Assembly has announced a one-week postponement for the resumption of plenary sessions for both senators and members of the House of Representatives. The two Houses will now reconvene on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, instead of the previously scheduled date of April 29, 2025.

The Clerk of the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana, issued a notice regarding this change, stating that the extension aims to allow members to participate in the Workers' Day ceremony and to attend to various engagements within their constituencies.
