Nigeria, March 20 -- The power surge has again caused a fire outbreak at No. 8 Aiyegbede Street, Awolowo, Tanke, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
It was gathered that the fire, which happened on Thursday, March 20th, 2025, at about 1:40 pm, affected a two-flat residential building consisting of a three-bedroom flat and a two-bedroom flat, whereas only the sitting room of the two-bedroom flat sustained fire damage.
According to a statement by the spokesperson of the state fire service, Hassan Adekunle, the fire crew responded immediately and swiftly commenced firefighting operations upon arrival.
