Nigeria, April 21 -- The palace of the Timi of Ede in Osun State, Oba Munirudeen Lawal, announced the indefinite suspension of Chief Jimoh Kabir, the Loogun of Ede, on Monday. The decision follows allegations that Kabir disregarded the authority of Oba Lawal and engaged in illegal land grabbing activities.
A statement released by the Timi's palace confirmed that the Timi-in-Council, the highest traditional decision-making body in Ede, made the decision after receiving multiple complaints against the suspended chief.
