Nigeria, March 7 -- A 48-year-old Pakistani, Iftikhar Ahmed, has been rescued by the operatives of the Lagos State Police Command from kidnappers.
According to a report by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, Ahmed was kidnapped after being lured to Lagos.
Quoting intelligence sources, the publication said Ahmed was invited to Lagos from Kano by seven Pakistanis under the pretext of securing a job for him as a chef.
"The victim arrived in Lagos on Feb. 28 and was received at the airport by the suspects," the source said.
