Nigeria, Sept. 27 -- Kwara State Government is set to train more than 460 teachers and school heads as part of efforts to strengthen basic education across the state.

The Universal Basic Education Board (KW-SUBEB), in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), will conduct the 10-day training programme aimed at boosting the capacity of early childhood educators and improving school management.

According to the organisers, a total of 224 Early Childhood Care Development Education (ECCDE) teachers and 240 heads of Universal Basic Education (UBE) schools from all 16 Local Government Education Authorities will participate in the exercise.
