Nigeria, Jan. 4 -- Some residents of Aiyelabowo Isale Moro community in Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State have formally defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing confidence in the leadership and grassroots commitment of Prof. Fatai Aremu.

The decamping ceremony, held on Tuesday at Akanbi Ward 5, was attended by key PDP stakeholders, including the Ilorin South Local Government Party Chairman, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Oje; the Party's State Organising Secretary, Hon. Olaitan Obalowu; and Prof. Fatai Aremu. They were led to the event by Hon. Amir Alege alongside members of the Professor Fatai Aremu Volunteer Team.
