Nigeria, April 7 -- Kwara State Commissioner for Livestock Development, Hon. Oloruntoyosi Thomas-Adebayo, has urged Vaccinators of Anthrax vaccination campaign for livestock protection to focus on safety and teamwork during the ongoing campaign.
Thomas-Adebayo, while speaking in Ilorin during the flag-off, highlighted the campaign's essential role in preventing zoonotic diseases within the state.
Addressing the Vaccinators through Mallam Yusuf Rafiu, the Director of Personnel, Finance, and Supply of the Ministry, the Commissioner stressed the necessity of the exercise, stating, "The Anthrax Campaign is vital for protecting public health and the economy, as anthrax poses significant risks to both animals and humans."
