Nigeria, April 19 -- In a bid to eradicate illiteracy in the state, the Kwara State Government has launched a "literacy by radio" programme aimed at promoting literacy and essential skills among residents.
The programme, set to commence on Monday, 21st April 2025, is designed to reach a wide audience, covering both rural and urban areas to bridge the literacy gap in the State.
Mallam Saka Yusuf, Executive Director of the Agency for Mass Education, announced the initiative during a press briefing, stating that it would be aired on Radio Kwara Midland FM 99.1 every Monday and Thursday at 5:20 pm for six weeks.
