Nigeria, Feb. 4 -- A steering committee for transferring the Kampe Games Reserve to the Federal Government as a National Park on Tuesday was inaugurated by the Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
The Governor, during the inauguration, also handed over the reserve to the federal government as a national park.
The handover of the reserve located in Patigi Local Government Area of the state was followed by the presidential declaration of November 2020 and the subsequent passage by the National Assembly.
The governor said this is a significant step towards improving the environment and advancing the sustainability of natural resources.
