Nigeria, Oct. 9 -- As part of efforts to strengthen mechanised agriculture and prepare young individuals for opportunities in modern farming, the Kwara State has engaged in the five-day Federal Tractor Operators Training Programme at the Agricultural Mechanics Machinery Operators Training Centre (AMMOTRAC), Akure, Ondo State.
The programme, which started on 6 October 2025, exposed participants to identification of tractor parts and implements, rudimentary driving and operation, and the handling of tractors with attached implements such as trailers.
By gaining these skills, participants stand to become certified operators who can support farmers across the State, reduce dependence on manual labour and boost farm output. This in turn will...
