Nigeria, May 22 -- Kwara State has successfully airlifted its final batch of 140 pilgrims, including 24 officials from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), who departed from the Babatunde Idiagbon International Airport in Ilorin to Saudi Arabia this evening for the 2025 Hajj rites.
Addressing the departing pilgrims, Professor Mashood Mahmud-Jimba, the Chairman of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, emphasized the importance of good conduct during their pilgrimage, while advising them against smuggling prohibited items into Saudi Arabia and reassured them that comprehensive arrangements had been made to ensure a smooth Hajj experience.
