India, Feb. 11 -- The Kwara State Government says it has commenced compensation for acquiring 2,100 hectares of land intended to extend the Industrial Park, a project initiated in 2023.
ESV Abdulkareem Babatunde Sulyman, the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Geographic Information Service (KWGIS), while flagging off the exercise at the agency's premises in Ilorin, said the acquired land, located off the old Ogbomoso road, spans over 15 communities in the Asa Local Government Area of the state.
According to him, 2,100 hectares were added to the 650 hectares previously acquired for the same purpose, on which development had already commenced.
