Nigeria, March 12 -- On Tuesday, the Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NiMET) disclosed that there will be rising temperatures and high humidity levels, which may lead to thermal (heat) discomfort in various states.
According to a statement issued by the agency, the most affected areas include the North-Central and other states, which are; Kebbi, Niger, Kwara, Oyo, Kogi, Nasarawa, Benue, Enugu, Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Cross River, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Other vulnerable regions include the Southwest and coastal areas, along with Taraba, Adamawa, Plateau, Kaduna, Zamfara, and Sokoto.
As a precaution, Nigerians are advised to stay cool, wear lightweight and breathable clothing, and remain hydrated.
