Nigeria, Aug. 22 -- The Kano State Government aims to register 10 million eligible voters during the ongoing nationwide voter registration exercise organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

This announcement was made by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Umar Faruk, at the inauguration of the State Voter Registration Mobilisation Committee at the Cabinet Office in Kano.

He described the committee as diverse, including technocrats, Islamic scholars, broadcasters, business leaders, and representatives from various political parties, including the opposition.
