Nigeria, May 21 -- The Kano State House of Assembly on Tuesday at the plenary commenced the process of amending the Kano State Emirs (Appointment and Deposition) Law that dethroned the 14th Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi.

The Informant247 gathered that the state assembly resolved to amend the law after the Majority Leader and member representing the Dala constituency, Hussien Dala, moved the motion.

It would be recalled that the Kano State Emirs (Appointment and Deposition) Law was first amended in 2019 during the rift between the former governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and the deposed Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi where it broke the Kano emirate into five different emirates with the creation of Rano, Karaye, Gaya and Bichi Emirates, and the ...
