Nigeria, March 7 -- Nigerian President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has okayed the appointment of Professor Attahiru Muhammadu Jega, former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as Special Adviser and Coordinator of the Presidential Livestock Reform.

Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, made this known on Friday in a statement, saying the appointment was part of the administration's broader effort to drive sustainable reforms in the livestock sector and strengthen national development.

Professor Jega, 68, co-chaired the Presidential Livestock Reform Committee alongside President Tinubu.
