Nigeria, June 8 -- In commemoration of this year's democracy day, the Federal Government has declared Thursday, June 12, 2025, as a public holiday nationwide.
The announcement was made in a statement released by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Mrs. Magdalene Ajani, on Sunday in Abuja.
In her statement, Ajani revealed that the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, declared the holiday on behalf of the Federal Government, congratulating Nigerians for enjoying a continuous 26 years of civil rule.
