Nigeria, Nov. 16 -- In a bid to restore peace and foster intercommunal harmony, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent a delegation headed by his Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement in the North Central Zone, Dr Abiodun Essiet, to Plateau State for engagement.

Essiet, on her two-day visit to the state, met Christian clerics and Fulani Miyetti Allah community leaders, culminating in a town hall meeting in Jos, Plateau State capital.

A statement by Bayo Onanuga, the presidential spokesman, confirmed that delegates from various local government areas, traditional rulers, women, and youth leaders gathered to discuss ways to strengthen community-based peace structures and promote coexistence among diverse communities.
