Nigeria, Feb. 20 -- The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has launched a round-the-clock surveillance operation across Kwara State, with particular emphasis on Ilorin metropolis and the protection of critical national assets.

The Kwara State Commandant of the corps, Bala Bawa Bodinga, disclosed this on Thursday in Ilorin shortly after formally assuming office. He said the initiative is aimed at strengthening public safety and restoring confidence in the state's security framework.

According to Bodinga, his deployment followed directives from the Commandant-General of the corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to reinforce operational effectiveness and ensure tighter protection of infrastructure and public spaces.
