Nigeria, Dec. 5 -- The operatives of the Kwara state Police Command have arrested an arms courier along Gbugbu/Patigi road in Kwara state.

The development came less than 24hours after a medical doctor was arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services for transporting medical supplies from Sokoto State to kidnapping gangs operating in Kwara State.

It was gathered that the suspected arms courier was arrested by Police patrol team attached to the Lafiaji Area Command in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara state in the early hours of Friday and recovered 100 rounds of live AK47 live ammunition.
