Nigeria, Feb. 9 -- The Ilorin East Local Government spent N33.6 million on the renovation of the Awodi Primary Health Care Centre, a facility recently at the centre of a political controversy involving the council chairman and Senator Saliu Mustapha.
Project details obtained by The Informant247 show that the renovation was captured as "Construction of Health Centre, Awodi", with project code 12310604 - Gambari I, at a cost of N33,661,502.00.
The N33 million expenditure came after the council chairman, Mallam Lukman Agbelere, rejected a N200 million federal government intervention meant for the renovation and equipping of the same health facility.
