Nigeria, May 6 -- In response to a surge in attacks by terrorist groups, the House of Representatives on Tuesday, called on the federal government to strengthen security operations across the country.

This appeal comes amid claims of possible foreign involvement in the recent violence attributed to Boko Haram insurgents in northeastern communities.

During an urgent national motion led by Ahmed Satomi (APC, Borno), the House urged for a comprehensive review of security protocols at military installations to prevent further incidents. They also committed to investigating a recent fire at the Giwa Barracks and requested that the government provide support and compensation to the families of soldiers affected by these attacks.
