Gov Abdulrazaq congratulates Alhaji Yakubu Gobir as new Sarkin Gobir of Ilorin

Nigeria, Feb. 20 -- AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara State Governor, has congratulated Alhaji Yakubu Gobir on his appointment as the new Sarkin Gobir of Ilorin.

The Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, recently announced Alhaji Gobir as the new Sarkin Gobir following the death of the ninth Sarkin Gobir, Captain Mohammed Ahmed Yusuf-Gobir.

The Governor, in a statement by his spokesperson Rafiu Ajakaye, said the choice of Alhaji Yakubu Gobir to lead his illustrious clan is a vote of confidence in his ability to carry on the fine legacies of his forebears while praying to Allaah to give the new Sarkin Gobir long life, good health, and the guidance to succeed at his new role.
