Nigeria, May 13 -- A block of five (5) room-and-parlour self-contained apartments on Tuesday razed by fire at No. 50 Umar Alabata Street, Baba Soja, Akerebiata, Ilorin.
It was gathered that out of the five units, two were seriously affected by the inferno, which occurred around 4:20 pm.
A statement by the spokesperson of the Kwara State Fire Service Hassan Hakeem Adekunle, said the the Service received a distress call reporting a fire outbreak at No. 50 Umar Alabata Street, Baba Soja, Akerebiata, Ilorin, and thereafter was responded to by the fire crew, who immediately swung into action to prevent further destruction.
