Nigeria, March 5 -- The Federal Government has approved the dualisation of Section Two of the Ibadan-Ilorin Road, allocating N147 billion for the project as part of its broader efforts to enhance road infrastructure across the country.

The approval was granted during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Monday, where a total of N733 billion was earmarked for four major road projects inherited from the previous administration.

Minister of Works, David Umahi, who announced the decision, said the dualisation of the 147-kilometer Ibadan-Ilorin Road Section Two would be executed using reinforced concrete pavement for enhanced durability. The contract has been awarded to GRVe Construction Ltd.
