Nigeria, Feb. 4 -- A sum of N1.334 trillion has been approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) for constructing the Calabar-Akwa Ibom section of the Lagos-Calabar road.

The second phase of the project, aimed at enhancing easy and swift commuting interstate, is expected to cover a 65-kilometre (km) stretch from Calabar through to Akwa Ibom and another 65km between Lagos and Ogun state.

The Federal Executive Council also has approved the construction of other roads for easy access.

The statement reads: "The construction of the Calabar-Akwa Ibom section of the Lagos-Calabar road is set to commence as the Federal Executive Council, yesterday, approved a sum of N1.334...
