Nigeria, March 26 -- The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has commended Prince Adewole Adebayo Esq, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, for maintaining close ties with the people beyond election periods.
The Emir gave this praise when Prince Adebayo, alongside former Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalong; SDP's 2023 senatorial candidate, Dr Ridwan Apaokagi; and the State Chairman of SDP, Dr Afeez Afolabi, among other dignitaries, paid a visit to his palace.
He noted that politicians should engage with the public consistently, not just when they need votes.
