Nigeria, May 6 -- The Kwara State Fire Service has disclosed that it has successfully prevented palpable havoc stem from an articulated truck transporting detergent with registration plates number ALK 625 XA.
It was gathered that the articulated truck was on Monday at about 1:30 pm gutted by fire, the incident triggered by a tyre burst while the vehicle was in motion.
It was further revealed that the continuous friction between the damaged tire and the hot tarred road generated excessive heat, igniting the tire. The fire quickly spread to the detergent products, which were packed in paper cartons.
