Nigeria, June 12 -- The presidency has publicly tendered its apologies over grave mistakes made by including Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the Afenifere leader, and Dr. Edwin Madunagu, under the Posthumous Award category, the award reserved for dead persons.

It would be recalled that in the commemoration of this year's Democracy Day, the president conferred honorary awards on people who have impacted positively in the struggle of the Democracy.

Notable amongst them included the Publisher of the Premium Times, Dapo Olorunyomi, who was conferred OON award

However, in a statement released on Thursday by the presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, the presidency tendered its unreserved apology to the concerned persons.
