Nigeria, Feb. 17 -- A Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin on Wednesday remanded 83-year-old All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Hon. Illiasu Ibrahim, alongside Mallam Shola Muse and Adesemowo "Ade Gogo" Suleiman, over alleged defamatory remarks against the elder brother of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The presiding judge, Hon. Justice E.B. Mohammed, ordered that the defendants be held in Oke-Kura correctional facility after they appeared before the court for arraignment on a 3-count criminal charges filed by the Kwara State Government.
The trio is accused of making derogatory and allegedly false claims against the Mutawali of Ilorin, Dr. Alimi AbdulRazaq, during a programme aired on SBS 96.9 FM.
