Nigeria, Feb. 11 -- Tension has gripped Oba Isin community in Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State following a deadly attack by suspected bandits that left a forest guard dead and his wife abducted.

Sources within the community confirmed that the assailants struck in the late hours of Wednesday, killing the forest guard during the attack and whisking his wife away to an unknown destination.

"Oba Isin is boiling. One killed. A forest guard killed. His wife abducted," a source told The Informant247 as details of the incident continued to emerge.

The identity of the slain officer has yet to be officially released.
