Nigeria, Sept. 18 -- A fresh wave of violence has rocked Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State as suspected bandits launched a deadly attack on Kakafu village in Lade District on Wednesday, September 17.
The assailants reportedly killed the Vigilante Commander of Kakafu, simply identified as Tetengi, during the assault.
The incident has thrown Patigi and neighbouring Edu Local Government into mourning, as residents continue to grapple with recurring attacks and loss of lives in the region.
The Informant247 reports that Kwara State has been facing sustained security threats, with vigilante groups often serving as the frontline defense against criminal gangs.
