Nigeria, Sept. 1 -- A fire incident on Monday at Airtel network mast 614 in the Osin-Okete area of Ilorin West Local Government Area, Kwara State, had raised urgent concerns among local residents in the state.

The fire occurred around 1:27 pm, prompting an immediate response from the state fire service.

According to Hassan Adekunle, the spokesman for the fire service, crews arrived at the site and commenced emergency operations without delay. "Upon arrival, firefighters found the network mast ablaze," he reported.

Although a generator at the site was damaged, Adekunle noted, "The swift and coordinated actions of the fire crew significantly limited further damage to the mast and nearby equipment."
