Nigeria, Nov. 14 -- A final order restraining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from conducting its national convention billed for November 15 and 16 has been made by a federal high court sitting in Abuja on Friday
Peter Lifu, presiding judge gave the order in his judgement delivery in a suit filed by Sule Lamido, the former Jigawa state governor.
The court had on November 11, issued a temporary order restraining the party from proceeding with the planned convention, holding in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, pending the determination of the substantive suit.
Lamido had sued the party for allegedly denying him the opportunity to purchase the chairmanship nomination form to enable him participate in the convention.
