Nigeria, July 22 -- The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, led by Governor Ademola Adeleke, has announced its endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.

This resolution came during a stakeholders' meeting held at the Government House in Oke-Fia, Osogbo, where Adeleke and prominent PDP leaders expressed their commitment to remain within the party.

It would be recalled that there were rumors of Governor Adeleke's planned defection from the PDP amidst consultations with party officials, many of whom were said to be willing to follow him to a new political party.
