Nigeria, Nov. 18 -- No fewer than 44 members of the House of Representatives have officially written to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to order the release of detained IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, while also asking him set up a political dialogue aimed at resolving grievances fueling unrest in the South-East.
The lawmakers, drawn from various regions across the country and different political parties, signed a two-page resolution calling on the President to exercise his constitutional authority by directing the Attorney-General of the Federation to discontinue Kanu's prosecution.
