Nigeria, April 28 -- The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the vaccination of 2,174 pilgrims from across the sixteen local government areas of the state at the Board's premises today, Monday 28th April.
Executive Secretary of the Board, Alh Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, announced that the Saudi authorities have made it mandatory for pilgrims to be vaccinated 10 days prior to leaving Nigeria.
The vaccines provided are aimed at protecting pilgrims against oral polio, yellow fever, and influenza. He also advised that any side effects should be reported promptly to medical professionals.
