Nigeria, Oct. 18 -- The State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Olusegun Olusola Adewara, has described the recent defection of some former party executives as a blessing in disguise, saying their exit would allow genuine and loyal members, particularly youths, to thrive.

In a statement by Adewara and obtained by The Informant247, he said the decision of Hon. Babatunde Mohammed, former State Chairman of the PDP, and Gabriel Kananjogun, the immediate past State Treasurer, to leave the party was not unexpected, insisting their move was driven by "personal disappointment and desperation for relevance."
