New Delhi, Nov. 13 -- Amatra Hotels and Resorts, the luxury hospitality brand has initiated a plan to become a zero-waste and sustainable hospitality company in the coming years.

The Malaysia-based luxury hotel chain operator is also looking to implement Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's vision to eradicate single-use plastic by 2022 in all their properties.

It is looking at a reduction of 150 Kg/Year of single-use plastic in Financial Year 2020-21 and with seven properties expected to be added in its portfolio, the total reduction will be about 750 kg of single-use plastic.
